Kilimanjaro Summit, 1998

© Peter Campbell

I have long been an adventurer.  Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania was not my first adventure, but it was one of my most spectacular, in terms of both the climb itself and our serious under-preparation.  What you can't see here is that all three of us were suffering from altitude sickness, not that we recognised it at the time.
