Joy! After lots of planning the next big trip is finally here. Nearly everything's ticked off the "must be done before I go" list. Still not quite packed, but we've got tonight to do that.


We hit the road for the big smoke early-ish tomorrow morning; then at 3am on Friday we leave for the airport. Eeew. But let me show you what we are leaving behind ...

And this ...

Some nice fresh ice fallen from the sky. 57mm rain in the gauge in the last 48 hours. Current outside temperature 10.8 degrees. My fancy little machine tells me that the wind chill temperature is 8.3 degrees.

Whereas in Lisbon it will be 32 degrees on Saturday when we arrive. Bliss!!
